Pull up to 1212 Elkwood Drive on a Saturday and you might catch the smell of smoke rolling off a grill before you even park. That's the kind of place this is. The Dalton Elks Lodge runs drive-up barbecue fundraisers that sell out by mid-afternoon, and the $9 plates are just the beginning of what keeps people coming back.

Reviewers consistently call this one of the nicest lodges they've visited, and the reason isn't hard to find: the members here actually talk to you. Whether you're a lifelong Dalton resident or a traveling Elk rolling through northwest Georgia with an RV, you're treated like you've always been part of the room. The lodge maintains five RV hookup sites (four 30-amp and one 50-amp) for members passing through, making it a genuine waypoint on the road.

The atmosphere inside is exactly what a lodge should be: quiet enough to have a real conversation, relaxed enough that nobody's watching the clock. With a 4.5-star rating across 55 reviews, this chapter earns its reputation one handshake, one fundraiser, and one plate of barbecue at a time.

What We Offer

The lodge hosts community fundraisers throughout the year, with the drive-up barbecue events drawing crowds from across Dalton and the surrounding area. Plates are kept affordable on purpose, because the goal is always to give more back to the community than it costs to show up.

For traveling Elks members, the RV hookup sites offer a convenient and welcoming overnight stop. The grounds are quiet, the rates are easy on the wallet, and you're parking among people who share the same values you do. Four 30-amp and one 50-amp site are available, so call ahead to confirm availability before you roll in.

Membership at this lodge opens the door to a full calendar of social events, charitable programs, and the simple pleasure of a place to unwind with good people. If you live in Dalton, GA and haven't walked through these doors yet, the members here will tell you the same thing: join and be part of it.

"This Lodge is VERY nice. The people here are some of the nicest you will meet. If you are local, join and be part of it. If you are an elk passing through, they have 5 RV slots ..4 30 Amp and 1 50amp. All w/ water.. It's a tough turn into the RV section so arrive when the paved lot is empty and do a uturn to enter the RV section. Cost is your donation. I'm told most give $20."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
